I was at Jack Trice today and couldn't help but feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. It wasn't the wind, it wasn't a fan or anything like that.. it was pure excitement running through the walls of the Jake. Don't ask me why but there's definitely a storm brewing.
OK, that sounded incredibly corny but nonetheless, I can't wait until next week
A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.
We had HUGE EXPECTIONS last year at this time...........a new era. Finally I have expections but not a presser with Mac. I HAVE STEPPED UP WITH MY MONEY.............SO HAVE TICKET SALES!
I wouldn't say expectations are through the roof, I haven't heard a single person say this team SHOULD win 7+ games...if I am not correct those were our expectations LAST year. THIS year we are just EXCITED, I think EXCITEMENT is at an all time high and that obvs. shows in ticket sales. People are excited to see a new coach who is nothing but a purebred WINNER, that's all Chizik has known and that's all he has done and so obvs. people here want and are excited to see if he has the potential to win here too with their favorite team: the Iowa State Cyclones. JTS will be ELECTRIC next thursday to say the least and hopefully excitement will turn into surpassed expectations and JTS will only gain steam throughout the year and we have the same showing from DIEHARD, not fairweather fans from day 1 until the last game of the year (whenever it may be.)
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
