Re: Rangers beat Orioles 30-3
I don't know if anyone noticed, but Wes Littleton got the save in this game. I know he came in the seventh but how do you get a save in a 27 run game.

If you come in the game in relief and pitch at least the last three innings, you get the save no matter what the score is.

If it weren't for a conservative offense it would have been 30-3
Re: Rangers beat Orioles 30-3
They had TWO players with 7 RBI's a piece, I doubt that has EVER happened in a game before...

Not to mention it was their 8 and 9 hitters. One of which they got from Atlanta in the Mark Teixeira trade.
Re: Rangers beat Orioles 30-3
Most runs anyone has scored in the modern era (i.e. since 1900) and the first time since 1979 that a team has had 4 players with 4+ RBI's. That's amazing...
Re: Rangers beat Orioles 30-3
Texas also set a team record for runs scored in a doubleheader -- before the second game even started.
Just think how the ERA for some of the Baltimore pitchers must have been impacted.
