For Those of you who thought the students wouldnt step up.

I just recieved an e-mail regaurding the student season ticket sales from a Mr. Jamie Pollard.

So I sure do hope that this quiets a lot of you who were criticizing so much earlier about our students.


Dear Cyclone students,



We are sorry that Wednesday’s student pep rally for the football team was cancelled because of the weather, but that might be the only “rain on our parade” these days.



ISU Athletics is on a roll, especially with our student population. There’s no doubt you’ve heard the buzz, caught the fever, embraced the cause and/or felt the impact.



Much like the rest of Cyclone Nation, you – ISU Students have been instrumental in building this enthusiasm. For that support and passion, we humbly say “thanks.”



I wanted to share with you a couple of facts and a warning related to tickets for Cyclone sports.



We’ve already set a school record for student season football tickets (our current total of 7,040 bettered the old mark of 6,974)!


We’ve sold out the student section for the 2007-08 men’s basketball season!


If you want to be a part of Coach Chizik’s first season, there are only 760 tickets left (go to cyclones.com now before the “sold out” sign goes up again)!


Your support is one of the crucial elements in our success and the enthusiasm you generate sets the pace for all of the other fans in Jack Trice Stadium. This is your team! Join us, before it’s too late. See you on the evening of Aug. 30!

Very smart Jamie. Create a sense of urgency which will motivate the hold outs to come in and buy. He's doing this both with students and non students, and I think he's going to sell a bunch of tickets yet.

I wonder....does this mean that I wouldnt be able to buy student single game tickets for friends if all the season tickets sell out????

Not related to student tix, but can any one tell me if they are still selling hillside season tickets? I thought I remember hearing they were sold out but I also remember hearing a quote from Jamie that they would keep selling them until people stopped coming.

I already have my student tix, but my dad is thinking about getting the hillside season tix. I'm from Cedar Rapids, so he usually drives over and visits me and gets to 3 games or so each year.

The Cy's Pack ($195 for seats at the north end of the west side and south end of the east side) are sold out, but the hillside are still available.
