The football program will turn the corner much sooner when people start making donations to better the program first and look at the parking as just an extra benefit. If we had to donate at the GOLD level to get parking and there were no extra spots, than there we would undoubtedly have a bowled in end zone and many other frills were wanting.

There's the contact info for the office to get an application for the NCC.

Thanks for the information! Also, i wanted to let anyone else out there that is wondering about joining the NCC that you can do so from the cyclones.com website. i just did it, and it literally took less than 3 minutes. I highly encourage every Cyclone fan to do this, so we can begin to realize Pollard's vision.

Quick question: What percentage of money from Alumni association donations goes to athletics, if any?
Where did you get $13,911,750? When I added the NCC numbers together it came to $5,046,750. Hopefully it's the higher number though, I'm just wondering where you got your info.

The football program will turn the corner when the team starts winning winnable, critical games on the field. This will bring in the fans. What Pollard has done is a great marketing campaign for not only football, but for the whole athletic department. This will work for this season, but we need to turn the corner as a football team in order to gain the fans, television exposure, etc...to raise money and keep fans here for years to come.

Five minutes after the KU loss last year, if you would have told me I would lose my parking pass, I would have said, "See ya!" So, in that respect, Pollard has done a great job hyping the program and making people forget...

    Unfortunately it's a money game

The people we're competing against, Texas, Nebraska, even Okie State, have unlimited supplies of money available. I don't have the stats handy but I doubt any of the heavy hitters (and I would hardly call Okie State a heavy hitter) give free parking within 100 yards of the stadium for a $250 donation.

If we're going to compete year in and year out, we have to find new ways to raise money, and those of us (me included) who are used to giving $250-$500 a year either need to pony up or move to the back.

I guess I'll move to the back then, but unless we win some big games I don't see all of these new donors ponying up $1,000 a year for two tickets and a parking pass if we go 4-8 or 5-7 this year...I'd like to see just one big conference win before I start spending that kind of money. I hope it comes this year!!

Don't pass judgement about the fullness of the lots when you walk by. Judge it at kickoff time. I get there 6 hours before kickoff and they are empty then because they just opened. But they do fill up, especially in the last couple of hours. Of maybe by then I'm seeing double, or triple.
