Is Slipknot the New Intro Music?

I've heard that slipknot is the new Intro music. Has anyone else heard this? I don't know what song though. Duality?

Slipknot is an Iowa band, so that would make sense.

Good god I hope not. Never heard the song so I just went to You Tube and checked it out. AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That song does nothing to get me pumped up for a football game. If anything it makes me want to leave the stadium and go back to my tailgate.

I would hope JP would be smarter than this and I trust he is.

Check out "Iowa" and "Pulse of the Maggots". Both have pretty good beginnings that would work for intros.

The rumor I have heard is that they have gotten them to do a remake on the song Iowa, but it is all pure speculation.

I listened to Duality, Iowa, and Pulse of the Maggots. All seem like equally terrible (and unlikely) choices. The only bit that showed any promise whatsoever was the intro to "Pulse of the Maggots", with the tornado siren and pretty fitting lyrics for a football game. However, the only way I see that working is if they lead straight from that into a fast techno or rock song to get the crowd doing something physical.

For the record, here are the lyrics to the opening of "Pulse". Not perfect, but a few small tweaks would yield a decent product.

Cross off what I said earlier... my vote if for Pulse of the Maggots for several reasons.

Tornado Siren at the beginning, crowd claps with audio.

On main riff you can hear the crowd chanting "Ahhhh" every few seconds along with it

As mentioned above...I hate duality. I actually like Iowa's intro and could see that working with a tweak or two.

The siren on pulse is nice, but is short lived before the mess of the rest of the song begins.

Actually if they could somehow put the siren opener of pulse and then mix it into the drums of Iowa marching into the stadium that could be quite cool.

The intro definitely has some potential, but I'd mix into something else once the 1st verse of lyrics begin. Plus, the blue hairs in the crowd will have to turn down their hearing aids.

It depends on who he wants to please, because obviously JP won't please everyone. I'm sure the 60+ yr old fans didn't see anything wrong with the previous intros, while on the other hand, the students would go crazy if "Pulse of the Maggots" came over the loud speaker.
