Did anyone see these??? ESPN - The Nation's Best: Seventh Annual Herbie Awards - College Football
What a joke, Herbie didn't even include the player who led the nation in tackles, Alvin Bowen, in his linebacker awards or players not getting enough respect...hmmm
And...The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band didn't crack the top 5 bands in the land
Herbie WTF are you smoking?!?!

What a disappointment! You meant Kirk Herbstreit when I thought it was going to be our own herbiedoobie! Herbiedoobie Awards would probably be more interesting...

im at the point where i am happy iowa state is getting completly over looked...
| Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." |

Herbie's Awards have the same kind of credibility as preseason predictions and preseason rankings - absolutely none. Everybody knows these determinations shouldn't be taken seriously until at least conference play.
And as far as Herbie picking Iowa as a sleeper - maybe it was fine until 2 weeks ago when suddenly grasping for receivers as well as linemen and quarterbacks? Most regional experts suddenly think, in some cases, that Iowa will be lucky to go 6-6 this year. But yet the national media "crush-fest" for the Sqwakeyes continues... |

Bastich done went and stole my name. Why should I change my name. He's the one that sucks!
Well, here goes a little taste:
Suckiest Teams:
1. Iowa
2. Knebraska
Bestest Teams:
1. Iowa State
2. Iowa State's Second Team
Dang! That was easy!

I give Herbstreit a Lastuvka for bagging Erin Andrews. I, in no way, condone cheating spouses or any such impropriety, but dayumm, if you insist then nothing wrong with that woman

Wow, Kirk gave Iowa a lotta love... calling them a sleeper, placing Iowa City in the top 10 Gameday sites and some steak house cracking the best places to grub...
I find it rather interesting that he also ranks the prettiest co-ed's (considering the rumors about off-the-screen behavior of KH and Erin Andrews etc.) .... bet that makes his wife really happy.
| I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
