In addition, the game will be simulcast live on Fox Sports.com for those outside of the state of Iowa.

That's HUGE!

Another victory for JP, this guy is busting down the doors for the good ol ISU. Others have said it can't be done, JP finds a way to do it.

:) Get your ISU license plates, just $50 at: http://www.iamvd.com/ovs/plates/index.htm

Does anyone here live around Sioux City. i think we get screwed over here for games on tv. Home basketball is on most of the time but i think football is shady.

Try living up around Minnesota. All you get is Minnesota Gophers crap or Big 10. Looks like I need to talk my roommate into getting College Football Gameplan so I won't get blacked out or have to watch Big 10 stuff!

“It is somewhat precedence setting to receive permission to create this in-state TV coverage for Cyclone football under current Big 12 football television agreements,” Iowa State Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard said. “The outstanding cooperation between the Big 12, Fox Sports, and Mediacom is the reason this telecast is being made possible.”
Being a media junkie, i'm anxious to find out what ISU did to get this accomplished. Hopefully it's a signal that in coming years, the Big 12 TV packages will look much different than what they are today.

Kudo's to Mr. Pollard for getting the deal done. Hopefully other conference schools have paid attention to what has taken place here and for the betterment of the entire conference, sooner rather than later, we'll see more games involving Big 12 schools on TV.

Too bad I dropped Mediacom this spring because they are getting rediculously expensive lately. I'll be at the game anyways...

Amen to that. I have been so upset in the past when Iowa State was supposed to be "Nationally Televised" for either Football or Basketball, only to turn on my TV and find that the Northwestern/Purdue game is being aired up here in MN. I HATE THE LITTLE 11!

On another note, does anyone know iwhat the webcast of the game on foxsports.com will cost?

The 31st can't come quickly enough!

Yes it has been very frustrating. But I guess it has saved me from watching the gut wrenching loss to NEB.

Folks...for those of you not in the Mediacom network or that don't have it...the release from ISU states the game will be broadcast on foxsports.com.

No idea how this works...but give it a shot!

No kidding. At about $120 per month you would think they should be able to return a good profit without needing to keep raising rates. I'm afraid the Big 10 network may cause them to consider another increase, because I'm sure they'll have to pick it up in this market. The high speed internet is essential, but my life would change very little if I gave up the TV.

Nebraska was invovled in a Fox Sports.com webcast in 2000 and it was free then as well.
