Uniforms/Confusion

So, the new uniforms are confusing me.... Not hard.

We have new uniforms this year and next year they will change again to what we voted on this month with the helmets?

Someone please explain!

does anyone know if we are going to have the players names on the back of their jerseys? i was just wanting to know. i hated how teams like oklahoma went without them

I also heard that Chiz doesn't like the names on the back. He thinks it takes away from the team mentality.

I didn't think our jerseys were changing this year (other than the throwbacks for the Iowa game). What have I missed? Are we using white pants at home instead of the red?

The jersey and helmet will remain the same, but the pants are going to be a yellow-gold. Next year is when we are getting the completely new uniforms. They didn't have enough time to get them designed and ordered for this year, so they just went with new pants.

i wouldnt say we have new uniforms this year...the only change is gold pants. and then the throw back jerseys we are wearing for the iowa game only.

next year is when we get the new pants, jerseys and helmets as voted on. not really that confusing.

2007
Same jerseys and helmets as last several years
New pants (gold)

2008
New Helmets (that we're voting on)
Complete new uniforms (Nike Red on Gold Home; White on Red Away)

The only thing I don't like is this year the pants don't match our tops. The striping, etc...plus having gold pants with white #'s on the jerseys doesn't look great. Oh well, change is good.
