Program Problems (wrong numbers for players)
Bell was listed as #13 but is actually #12. Alexander Robinson was listed at #23, but is #33. I think there was at least one other case of this.
Both the 2-deep roster I printed from Cyclones.com and the program I bought last night were wrong.
Anyone else catch this?

Did not notice that, but I did notice my freakin seat backs were not on my seat like they were supposed to be. I was not happy when I walked up and saw that.

Re: Program Problems (wrong numbers for players)
They mentioned the # change on the radio last night. Maybe they were trying to confuse Kent State by changing the numbers..it didn't work. -
Re: Program Problems (wrong numbers for players)
Bell was moved to the punt team this week so he had to change his number (Brantner is also no. 13).

Re: Program Problems (wrong numbers for players)
Robinson's number also changed this week, in practice earlier he had been wearing 23.

Re: Program Problems (wrong numbers for players)
I was standing by the fence and the reason that Alexander Robinson wore #33 was that he puked all over his #23. He was hugging the garbage can for a long time. His nerves really got to him. And from what I heard, but have not seen discussed there were over 30 players including Drenard Williams that were told they had not played hard enough to earn the right to be on the field with them. So we did not suit up nearly the normal number.

Wow...Chizik really isn't messing around. That right there, if true, softens the blow from the loss. Not suiting them up isn't WHY we lost at all.
But it tells me, Chizik will not put guys on the field that won't work - regardless of who they are and if they can help us.

I like hearing this...I'm a fan of that kind of coaching. At the same time, he is new to this and while that might work in high school, it may not have a positive affect on college athletes. Should be interesting to see how the players that didn't dress handled it.
Still, I like the attitude Chizik brings. Makes me feel good about the future.

That was Steve Johnson puking, who is #23 on defense, not Alexander Robinson.

Anyone else feel that we went to a garage sale and bought our uniforms. I dont mean to start the enlongated thread about clothing, but it just look aweful.

I actually thought they looked sharp. Not great (really looking forward to the new ones), but still sharp. A lot better than the photos we saw online.

Re: Program Problems (wrong numbers for players)
They were a lot better than I anticipated. I hated the gold pants from the start, but seeing them out on the field made it look a lot sharper to me.

Re: Program Problems (wrong numbers for players)
I just saw gold pants matching, um nothing. I know we have gold trim around the numbers, but you cant see that. Then red uni's with white numbers, and a darker metallic read helmet with a logo that you dont know what the heck it is. Oh and black shoes with black socks. Really!
I would have said to stick with the read pants one more year till we get the new ones next year. Now those I'm looking forward to.

Simple solution to getting the players number right
Um I know the program was messed up but, if a player is upset that his number is wrong on the program. All he has to do is make a few plays and we will all figure out really quit who he is.
