Nancy's take on this season
http://desmoinesregister.com/apps/pb.../1017/SPORTS06
Didn't realize we hadn't won all home games in one season since 1917! It'll be a tall order, but definitely attainable.
(I don't know why she thinks K-State is a tough game. Granted, it's on the road, but they are in serious rebuilding mode.)

Yeah...not a bad article...yet I hated...HATED the headline...
"To Save Season, ISU Will Need 7 Ames Wins"
Save the season? SAVE the season? It has not already begun and we're trying to save the damn season. C'mon...

MonkeyBrow?!?! Can't you keep you HO in check?!

I wonder if she mentioned the Baylor loss enough times...
what a sandy you-know-what

Well, even though shes as dumb as diarrhea, she had a pretty good article. Its tough to hear it, but its true about Baylor. No denying that. Now we just need to punish everyone else and that Baylor loss will dissapear.

Hopefully that something is a positive rather than a negative.

Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
All of our losses hurt, especially the 3 OT games. However if we truly deserved to lose 1 game last year, it was against Baylor. We played well enough to win in our other 4 losses...IMO we did NOT against Baylor.

You'd figure just the mere mention of Nancy would have Monkeybrow jumping on this like white on rice

If we lose at Kansas State all hell will break loose.

Cudos to Nancy on a good column. The Baylor lost was, by far the most damaging loss of last year.

What ISU Can't Win a Road Game????
I would agree that ISU needs to play very well at home this year since we have tough road games against top 15 programs in Texas, OU and Iowa.
However, what makes the KSU and CU games automatic road losses?? Both teams have new coaches and are taking over programs that were in the decline. IMO both those programs are in serious rebuilding mode. IMO the KSU&CU road games are probably going to be easier than home games against Nebraska or TT.
Unlike Nancy Clark, I don't think the key to ISU's season is how we do home vs. road. IMO the key is how we do against Toledo, Nebraksa, TT, KSU and CU. If we go 4-1 in those games we will have a great season. We go 3-2 we'll play in an Independance type bowl. If we go 2-3 then we'll play in a bottom tier bowl game.

Yeah well, ya know, that's just, like uh, your opinion, man.
