Credits: 290,335 | OT: Nebraska just got a 5-star QB | | Nebraska got a commitment from a QB that Rivals ranks as a 5-star, calling him "the nation's No. 2 pro-style quarterback and the No. 14 player overall." And, to top it all off, he may join UNL early, in January, giving him an extra 6 months of preparation and practice.
I was really, really, really angry when Danny-boy McCarney blew it in Lincoln a couple of years ago, because I saw it as our last chance to beat Nebraska in Lincoln for 10 years. I may be right. This guy will be Nebraska's future for the next 4-5 years. Omaha.com Sports Section | | |

I think it's much easier to get frustrated at all the "progress" other schools seem to be making, especially in light of an opening day loss, but you just have to remember that recruits pan out, and others don't. It's the ebb and flow of college football.

Ya had to figure NU would get it going eventually. Callahan is a poor coach, but his recruiting is strong. If he let's his assistants do their job, the Huskers will be tough. We have to outwork and outcoach them.

Yeah, it looks like we have not progressed based on Kent State. If they are 79th best team, losing at home by 9 puts us at about 130 and bottom of BCS teams.

Where does Michigan's loss to Appie State put them? This may be a rough year but we have to be patient, success will hopefully come in the future, yeah an opening day loss is tough but it has been 12 years since a new coach has come to ISU.

I believe they had a top recruit, Harrison Beck, who also might have joined the team for springball and also left the team because of the coach. If Nebraska's coach can bring in JUCO's he will especially a qb.
