look at the bright side
at least ISU didn't play Drake or Apalacian(sp) St. the first week. I am not so sure that ISU would have beaten Drake with the way they played Thursday night, and App. State would have kicked the Clones butts.
Obviously there is a lot of work to do. On the other side there were at least a few glimmers of hope and some things to build on in the first half.

D1A losing to D1AA still makes headlines everywhere.

i agree.. and look who we play next week.. and alot of people are just marking it down as a win.. i would love to.. but im not until the clock says 0...
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -
Re: look at the bright side
We definately need to beat UNI, because after that I don't see many games that we can win.
Iowa, Toledo and possibly Kansas. Other than that, I don't see how we can beat Colorado or K-State. They look much improved.
TT, Texas, Nebby, Mizzou, Oklahoma........no chance.

if we play like we did against kent state.. we wont be able tobeat alot of teams.. we need to play the way chizik wants them too.. not the way the other teams wants them to..

Honestly, I'm hard pressed to find a game on ISU's schedule we can win. I don't think its Iowa. Their defense will give ISU's offensive line fits. King is a stud, and the others on that defensive line aren't far behind. Hope I'm wrong, I really do.

Re: look at the bright side
I'd say App State is definately the favorite to win the D1-AA championship again after that showing. Beating Michigan in the Big House is quite a feat even for BCS teams!

I think that the winner of Furman/App State will win 1-aa.

TT, Texas, Nebby, Mizzou, Oklahoma........no chance. Obviously, if we play the same way every game the rest of the season we would be lucky to win one or two games. But there is a reason you practice and try to get better. If we can't improve as a team over the next month or two, might as well give up now.
