I have never cared for Jon Miller. He's still trying too much to be a mini Deace. Throw in the self infatuation and mix it with the EIU issued talking points he spouts out and it takes about three seconds for me to frantically search the radio for Limbaugh, Kris Kross, the Pet Shop Boys-anything else to dull the pain.

you can stream espn and fox sports radio online now. Tune in to Big sports 590 (no stream) in Omaha or 810 WHB (stream) in KC. They talk about the cyclones as often as Jon does. 590 and 810 do have alot of big 12 info. Although 590 is pretty huskerfied.

I listen for the start of each show just to see if he'll have Chris Williams on or someone from Iowa State.

In general this guy is the biggest kiss *** in the state, at least Marty and Miller dont give a crap who they **** off.

You forgot to mention he is boring and scared to take calls from real average people. He takes 5 phone calls a show from the people and cuts them off after 5 seconds if they dont talk bout the hawks or worship him.

It sounds like he tried to copy Deace's format, including the way he talked. He talks in that calm, quiet, creepy voice all the time that Deace used to use. Just subtract any opinions besides "Hawks Rule" from Deace's show and you have the snoozefest that is the Jon Miller show. The sad thing is that it ranks about 50 pedestals higher than the "Cot-Man." ("oh yeah, that's some good blues, oh yeah, oh yeah, incoherant sexual noises, bogey brothers")

Satellite radio really is the way to go. I can't speak for the talk radio part because I don't listen to it (although there are a lot of channels), but the selection is incredible. I had a free trial when I bought my car and I can't imagine life without it now. Can't write the annual check fast enough. I should be an XM salesman...

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and this stuff goes with the territory. There have been some things said that are untrue, but nothing that is a mark against character. Not everyone is going to like what you do when you do what I do. I knew that when I signed up.
