It's Game Day
Ladies and Gentlemen, it's a Cyclone Game Day.
There's no real point to this thread, other than I'm excited. I've got no point to make, no criticism to lay down, no opinions to point out. It's a Cyclone Game Day, and I'm pumped. Moreover, it's Cardinal Rules Day. A day when Jack Trice Stadium gets painted blood red with fan support for our Cyclones. A day when we are blessed to walk/run into JTS with our heads held high, because no matter what happens on the field, we are CYCLONES.
We are...Iowa State!
Maybe it's the insomnia. Maybe it's the Gold Capped Jagermeister that Flag Guy brought back from Germany, or maybe it's just the Cardinal and Gold pumping through my veins, but today is a great day to be a Cyclone. No matter what arguments we've had as fans this week, no matter what stance we take on last week's results, today we are one. One mass, one mob, one soul, one team. I've often said that Jack Trice Stadium has energy like I've never seen before. We have energy, but lack unity. Other stadiums (and I've been to a lot of them) have the unity, but lack our energy. I believe this is the day we put it together. Today is the day we stand up and introduce ourselves as Cyclone Nation to Coach Chizik and all the newcomers.
To all those still awake, good night, and good luck.
To those dreaming of glory who awake to read this tomorrow, I'll see you in the stands.
Most importantly, GO CYCLONES!

Re: It's Game Day
Woke up in the middle of the night for some water and CF was still up on my laptop screen, so I just thought I'd look and see if there were any "insomnia" posts and by god, if superfan didn't write one helluva post at 3:30AM! You have the type of energy that embodies the Cyclone Nation my friend! I thank god that I have another chance to be around friends and family and enjoy the best tailgating experience in the midwest all day, followed by watching my favorite college football team at a stadium that can only be described as "electric!" I am proud to be a Cyclone and happy that its Cardinal Rules day and I plan to be as red as humanly possible tomorrow. Let's cheer loud and proud for I-S-U people! and like superfan said: GO CYCLONES!

Re: It's Game Day
That was me last week because I was going to the Kent State game...
Grr...but now I don't know if I'll make it over to the UNI game or not. Does anyone know if there will still be hillside tickets availible at the box office when I get there? Just wondering, I don't want to drive 2 hours all the way over there just to find out they don't have any hillside left.

Re: It's Game Day
ISU will sell hillside tickets pretty much until the Fire Marshal steps in.

Re: It's Game Day
I have been sick all week, so I have not really gotten into it. But I am going to be a trooper, nothing is keeping me away from an ISU game.
