Arnaud plays one series...
Anyone know why he played one series and that was it? Did Meyer get dinged up on the prior drive and then was ok to come back in?
I can't imagine they'd bench Meyer for just one series...hadn't heard why or read anything about it yet.

I have no idea, but you could tell the crowd definately thought it was a good change.

Re: Arnaud plays one series...
Meyer mentioned in the postgame quotes that the staff told him Arnaud would get a series in the second half.

Re: Arnaud plays one series...
I don't think Meyer got banged up. I think they were trying to light a fire under his ***.
It worked, a little....I guess.

Re: Arnaud plays one series...
I took it to be a warning shot across Meyer's bow, but I was suprised that they only did it for one series. In light of that that is a good question

Re: Arnaud plays one series...
Make no mistake, that was a benching. It came right after a three-and-out (I believe there should have been a pick on that drive...I think a UNI CB jumped the route (didn't help that Meyer was staring at the receiver) and it bounced off his hands.
It did seem to wake him up a bit, though.

Re: Arnaud plays one series...
If they want to light a fire under his ***, they need to sit him out for 4-5 drives for the Iowa game. Maybe even the whole 1st quarter.

Re: Arnaud plays one series...
From what I understand, the staff wanted Arnaud to get a drive under his belt but also knew that we still had a chance and Meyer has the experience even though he hasn't done anything to warrant PT. I think you'll see Arnaud for a couple drives next week, depending on the game, and then quite a bit by the time the team comes back from their road kill, err... umm.... I mean road trip.
Let's face it, Arnaud may be the future but he needs to be worked in so he's comfortable, I don't think he's to that point yet. You can throw him in to start but the kid deserves a better chance than that and Meyer has been given his chance at leaving on a good note, although he seems to be ******* that down his leg.

Gee Jeremy..I'm starting to get the idea that you're none too happy with Meyer right now.... -
Re: Arnaud plays one series...
Maybe he's been too busy skipping class and getting crunk?
Ok maybe an uncalled for shot (and a reference that not nearly enough people will get), but yeah. Maybe he has some old habits from last year but he doesn't seem to be doing much to break 'em or make much of his senior year...

I feel like a traitor banging on one of our players and I've stuck up for him for a long-time but I just saw no single decision making ability to give me hope he's going to return to his old fashion. Some players have slumps but not for 14+/- games. Mistakes are understandable but so many that never should have even been close is like a stake in the heart.

We have not been the same since Berryman drove without a license. We have no rush.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Arnaud has the meyer tendency of focusing on 1 receiver only also. We need to find someone that can look off to #2 or #3.

It worked, a little....I guess. Yeah Meyer only threw one more interception and only had one more fumble that he didn't fall on.
