This weekend just sucked ! Here are the reasons why :
1)Iowa State got beat.
2)The Hawks won.
3)Chicago Cubs lost there series to the Pirates.
4)Chicago Bears got beat.
5)Packers won.
6)Vikings won.
7)My fantasy team is probably going down.
I often wonder how much happier my life would be if I were not involved in sports.
Fantasy football has basically completely wrecked my enjoyment of watching football, but I can't turn down another reason to compete. Fricken Rams lost too.
So far I'm ahead in both my leagues .. big question: Carson vs the Ravens or Alex Smith verses the Cardinals.
Good things:
- Met and shook the hands of Troy and Darren Davis before the game
- Rang up a $50 tab at Es Tas (totally worth it)
- Wore off the hangover with NFL ... thank you Jesus for opening weekend
EDIT:
F**K ME!! Brandon Jacobs was my #2 runningback ... that knee bent the wrong way!
I had Jacobs also on my fantasy team. I did make basball playoffs today and will win my first fantasy football game. Trouble is I have lousy running backs and one good receiver in Chad Johnson. Looks like I will have to trade Hasselback and get a running back from someone.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
My D-Backs swept the Cardinals this weekend. How can you not like a team that's been outscored by 30 runs this season, but is still in first place and is 18 games over .500?

Here are the reasons why this was a GOOD weekend for me:
ISU VB beat Iowa and UNI, helping us with the Cy-Hawk series
Cubs lose
Brewers win
Brewers take 1-game lead in NL Central
Bears lose
Packers win, and for the first time since 4th and 26, I feel a little redeemed.

Everything else sucked.
Were you watching that point in the game (early 4th quarter?) where the packers took the penalty to back the Eagles up to like 3rd and 24 or something instead of taking the 4th and short and losing big field position on the punt?
I was only listening on the radio but I figured that 3rd and long brought back bad memories to the Pack.
(as it turned out McNabb threw incomplete and the Eagles punted)

I echo all of this. Although the Bears defense will be a force again. Seeing them play like they did against SD made me happy.

I agree, Archuletta is looking like a big pickup for them. I didnt think Grossman was terrible, I would like to know what Berrian was thinking on that interception... The running game has to step up and HOLD ON TO THE BALL... I think that botched punt return just deflated them long enough to let San Diego take over... It should be a good year though...
