Cyclones Finish Second At Rain-Shortened Badger Invitational
MADISON, Wis. – The Iowa State women's golf team finished in second place at the Badger Invitational after rain washed out the final round Monday afternoon. All players had completed at least nine holes until continuous rain produced water on the greens which halted play for the remainder of the tournament. It was a great start for the Cyclones, as senior Kendra Hanson won her first medalist honor with a 3-over par 147 (74-73). The Forest City, Iowa native competed as an individual, so her score did not count for ISU's team tally. Iowa State was 11 strokes behind Oklahoma after two rounds, but closed the gap to three shots before play was stopped.
