The Good Side of sports
about 10,000 Nebraska fans were in attendance at Saturday's Wake Forest game, the stadium sits about 30,000. Many of the NU fans (mostly from the East coast) purchased Wake Forest season tickets. Well, one thing lead to another and several hundered Husker fans ended up donating the remainder of their Wake Forest season tickets to soliders who were wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan and are currently at a Ft. Bragg hospital. Oh, just so happens that Wake Forest's next home game is against Army. ESPN - Wojciechowski: Heart in the heartland - Columnist -
Re: The Good Side of sports
So there ARE Husker fans with a soul. What a concept.
Good for them for doing so... but why buy season tickets? Does WF restrict ticket sales to season tickets because of stadium size?

Still, why not save money by buying single game tickets? Or are there that many Husker fans who like to flaunt their checkbooks?

I wonder if this will be the case when they have to buy season tickets next year like Hawk fans did. It will happen.

This is a different scenario completely.
