Jon does catch a lot of crap, but at the same time, the majority of Cyclone fans treat him with respect on this board. I just don't think it is in his best interests to go off because of a few who don't like him. It sounds like he came to that conclusion just a wee bit too late.

I admit that I've never heard his radio show. I don't really listen to the radio when I'm here at school. My only exposure to him has been on this message board and the Cy-Hawk State of the Nations.

Based on that, I don't know why people around here hate him. I think he does a pretty good job on TV, and he's never really been rude when posting on here.

I just chalk it up to people hating him for his allegiance. I've been exposed to Hawkeye fans who are a lot more arrogant than he is.

in all fairness, jon did say the gloves are coming off this week. so take it for what its worth. personally, i really dont care what he has to say, sometimes i like it, sometimes i dont. its just sqwuak talk. nothing more, nothing less.

Honestly Jon, if you're taking this mentality... I'm serious when I say I hope the moderators ban you and I will never listen to you show again. I mean never. I won't watch Cy-Hawk talk, I won't support you in any way and I have been all over some guys for getting on you for unfair things on this board.

If you're going to use things you read on this board as stuff meant to throw back in our faces on your show when a lot of us have been really gracious to you that's complete BS. Frankly hope you never post here again and never come back.

Unfortunately, it appears Jon is becoming one of 'em today.

I'm not going to get in the middle of this here. It's not going to be pretty - often times - when you mess with the bull, you get the horns.

good point mwitt. It is important we focus on the content and not the person ....Jon posts on here and on his site to know what to expect on a message board ... but we need to be polite to the person. Some mudslinging is expected in a Rivalry game and it is easy to respond to Jon's show as he has complete control of the mike for what and hour; but let's be sure we (CycloneNation) stay with in the field of play.

Let's come out on Sat morning and yell and scream for everything we are worth. Let's push our boys over the top and help them to beat this obviously OVER-RATED Iowa team. They have beaten NO-ONE. I KNOW we can do it.

How sweet would it be to let the HOGEYE's ramble on and on all week only to walk out of the Jack with their dumb heads in their hands. Then we could hear on the radio next week how the game means nothing!

I agree with this 100%. I've always supported Jon.

However, he's making it clear he's taking the gloves off and putting on the brass knuckles.

That's well and good, however I don't expect Cyclone fans to just take it on the chin.

It seems he's only referring to the completely irrational Cyclone fanbase. I can't say I'll completely disagree with some of the things I expect to hear.

Yet, he will be attacking some of our own. And regardless of them being irrational at times, I would think Cyclone fans would defend one another.

I do have to say that Jon Miller has been gracious both times I have met him. I was in ISU apparel both times. I don't enjoy that he and Marty T take radio time to bash us, but we do live in a free speech nation.

I work with a team that is all guys (but me) and I am also the only ISU fan... 4 hawks and 1 husker.

It is much worse than listening to Mary T and Jon.

If you've ever hung around brothers that are close in age, you can pretty much figure out how this is going to go. Brothers will beat the absolute hell out of each other, up until the moment when someone else comes after one of them. Then everything is forgotten, and it's on.

To actually be sucked in, we would have to listen to your radio show today. Since your show is not on the air yet, no one has been sucked in yet.

Serious question Jon...what are your ratings like? I hear Marty and Miller talking about their sky-high ratings. I have searched online but can't seem to find any of KXNO's ratings. Is that something you have and can share? I'd be curious to see all of KXNO's lineup.
