Good Place for Brunch in Ames?
Hey all, I am bringing the Fiance with me to Ames this weekend for the game. One of her stipulations for letting me drink as much as possible is that i have to treat her to a nice brunch. Any ideas of possible places? Thanks in advance.

One of her stipulations for "letting" you drink is you have to take her to brunch? Whatever. Take her to breakfast at McDonald's.

Brunch? really? You are going to give up your manhood card and take her to brunch? Take her to tip top and get her a bowl of chili and a hi life. Tell her that is brunch!

If Aunt Maudes is still around, you should check it out. Quite the classy establishment. Pretty much an automatic panty-melter.

It was closed earlier this summer for a remodel, not sure if it is back open yet. What about that place way way way out west, used to be the brown bottle (yes, I am old).

it's not really about 'letting' me drink - it's about what happens at 2am when getting back to the hotel...I would rather it be a positive end to the night

try The Cafe up at Sommerset
as for the Brown Bottle, the only thing that is still out west on Lincoln way is The Broiler, I dont know about the food, as I've never eaten there.

Olde Main's Brunch is pretty good. I suggest their Wheat Beer to go with your orange juice.

Brunch on Saturday or Sunday? If sunday, Olde Main as others have said, it's BA. Also, the Gateway has a pretty sweet brunch on Sundays if you feel compelled to drop some coin. I don't know if it's panty melter status, but my wife loves it.
