Kent St is not that bad
Game Summary from Phil Steele:
Kent st completely outplayed Kentucky in the 1st half with a 268-98 yard edge but fumbled twice and was interecepted to stop 3 drives and also got to the Kentucky 11 at the end of the half but out of timeouts they could not get off a FG attempt so 4 scoring opportunites were wasted...
I still think they will compete for the MAC title.

If that's supposed to make me feel any better about our 0-2 start, it didn't work.

I heard the same about Toledo/UNLV/UNI last year. I don't buy it any more.
We simply are a bad team.

We simply are a bad team. Totally agree.

I am not so sure we are a bad team. we might be a decent team that has not gelled yet. Gotta give it a little time.
Holy s**t, was I just the optimistic one out of the bunch? Something is wrong here, I must be stroking out. Anyone got an aspirin?

Kent St rolled up over 450 yards of offense against Kentucky. ISU's defense didn't do quite that bad. Maybe there is some consolation in that...

I think you just ensured ISU's success this Saturday! -

Is Kentucky a "good" team?

Re: Kent St is not that bad
They have arguably one of the best offenses in the SEC, along with a QB that could very easily claim a 1st or 2nd team All-American spot.

Often times people put far too much weight on one week of football. Just like Week 1 in the NFL.
Just because Indy pounded the Saints doesn't mean they won't be in the Super Bowl come February - but if you read some articles - they'll be lucky to make the playoffs this year based on that game.

Re: Kent St is not that bad
Before the season if you would have told me that ISU would have developed a decent running game and protected the QB enough to only allow 2 sacks in the first two games, I would think we would have two wins. So far that is major improvement from last year. So I don't think we are simply a bad team with no hope this year. You can tell these guys have not gelled into a "team". My expectations for this year was not an X amount of wins but improvement in what we couldn't do last year and improvement during the year. With that said, can we please win some freakin ball games?

Re: Kent St is not that bad
Our OL is weak and young. We all know that. And our DL absolutely cannot get to the QB. Which equates to 0-1 win this season. Not even sure where the 1 comes from.

Re: Kent St is not that bad
I'm 100% positive we'll win at least 2 games. I also don't know where either will come from, but I have a sneaky suspicion we're not as bad as we think and Iowa is not as good.
I would not be shocked if we won this weekend, although I'm probably going to jinx it by taking the Clones and the po
