Anyone know if the team is or will be practicing this week with the Gold throwback helmets? Meyer and Arnaud are used to looking for Red helmets. It's not a huge deal, but i think it might help avoid a lil confusion on Sat.
If the are practicing in them, I hope Catlett doesnt put too ding's on my helmets, except on Sat that is.

I actually forgot about them coming out in the throwback unis for this week. I'm getting a little more excited now...

Chizik mentioned on his show Monday on KXNO that it was different seeing the players where gold helmets. They must be using them in practice.

Only there's no red jersey with the throwback uni. The uniform has only the white jersey. Unless you could get the rest of our opponents to agree to wear their home colors (not likely at this point), there's no chance.

Normally, such an agreement needs to be made before the season (like LSU and GT).

I thought the home team picked which jersey to wear and the visitor has no choice. I guess it's possible it has to be settled before the season though.

From the NCAA rules:

Contrasting Colors
ARTICLE 3. a. Players of opposing teams shall wear jerseys of contrasting colors, and the visiting team shall wear white jerseys. White jerseys may be worn by the home team when the teams have agreed before the season. Players of a team shall wear jerseys of the same color and design.

Don't we already have white jerseys? Seems like the yellow helmets would still work.
