    DM Register's Cyclone Insider

    Starting Aug. 31, the DM Reg. will have exclusive online material devoted to ISU at http://www.desmoinesregister.com/cycloneinsider. There will be daily features (video, blogs, Keeler trivia, etc.) and is all free. (They're doing the same for the Squawks too). Should be interesting to see how it goes...

    Seriously? I never read anything by the columnists anymore, and that is a perfect example why. What was his justification for picking those teams above us?

    Is this the same guy that picked Ok St. to possibly go 6-0 at the beginning of the season and then didn't pick them to go to a bowl? At 6-0 they're already eligible.

    The funny thing is that he whines all the time about ESPN showing mostly Yankees, Red Sox, etc. Since he's a White Sox fan this drives him nuts. Yet he pulls the same crap with EIU over ISU.

    I didn't think Keeler was a Hawk fan at all. I remember when he was introduced he told the story of growing up a Clone Fan.

    He went to Northwestern, so maybe he has a little Big 11 bias, but I'm not sure he likes Iowa.

    The register also had a blurb this weekend about how SS and Iowa's center were both nominated for the award for top center in the country, went on to elaborate about Iowa's center but nothing additional about SS who was first team All Big 12 last year.
