BryceC--we're on the same page! Why does it worry you though? I find it interesting that if your line is so good, how can you single out one guy that is the best player on both sides of the ball?

I found these stats interesting...
- First quarter scoring: Toledo 119 - Opponents 45
- Sacks: Toledo 31 for 229 yards - Opponents 13 for 96 yards
- Punts: Opponents 63 for 2,441 yards - Toledo 37 for 1,305 yards
So, if ISU gets off to a slow start, there could be trouble. And for crying out loud, protect Meyer!

Don't forget Toledo's relatively easy schedule last year. They're certainly a good team, but I think ISU still has the edge.

Toledo is picked to finish with Northern Illinois. I can't wait to the day we dont freak out about MAC teams.

Some people will always freak out, its their defense mechanism which limits their expectations. I'm not worried about Toledo, if we don't win by a couple of touchdowns I'll be disappointed.

You shouldn't misunderstand me, I'm not worried about Toledo. I'm actually happy we're playing a team with a good offensive line, because when you play teams that suck across the board I'm not sure how good it is for the team.

I always have a "Wait and See" attitude toward the team. I think they could be good, I can see where they might be not so good. There's a number of things that can change either one. We'll see how it all works out.

Also, I wouldn't say that I'm limiting my expectations. That sounds like something of a slight. My only expectations are to have a good time, and I'm never disappointed. Let the cards fall where they may.

He may be big, but how fast can he move. 5.2. Does he have more than 3 gears? So what if he weighs 338 pounds. He sounds like the Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman type. Big but slow. Fast for two steps.

The reason that some of us are a little concerned in Mac's track record of not blowing out these D-1AA teams. We have the guns to end the concern on the 31st.

You guys should worry more and spout off a little less. Toldeo is not a I-AA team and would not be one even if that classification still existed (it doesn't). Also, they're a good team. Maybe you remember the Northern Illinois team that haded it to us in Dekalb and played very well in Ames? If we win this game by "several touchdowns," I iwll be salivating for the upcoming season. If someone offered me a win by 1 point, I'd take it right now and move on to the next game.

"In another action regarding the two football subdivisions in Division I, the Board approved new labels. The presidents approved a change in terminology to “Football Bowl Subdivision” for the former I-A classification and “NCAA Football Championship Subdivision” for the former I-AA group. The Collegiate Commissioners Association helped develop the new labels.

The presidents believe the new nomenclature, which becomes effective in December, more accurately distinguishes Division I institutions for purposes of governing football, the only sport for which such a distinction is necessary. Members felt the old nomenclature inaccurately tiered Division I institutions in all sports, not just football, and produced instances in which media outlets and other entities incorrectly cited institutions as being Division I-AA in basketball or baseball, for example.

“All Division I institutions, regardless of whether they sponsor football, are in fact and should be referred to as Division I members,” said Board Chair and University of Connecticut President Philip Austin. “The only reasons for labeling are the need to distinguish the two football subdivisions for the purpose of governing the sport and to maintain separate statistics. The Board is stressing that the nomenclature reflect the totality of the Division I membership whenever possible and that the subdivision labels be used sparingly. Still, there are instances in which we need to use them, and we feel the new labels are more accurate.'"
