Iowa has played a couple of powder puffs, ISU has been in a couple slobber knockers, Iowa may be that good or maybe not. We will see tomorrow.

    Re: Cy-Hawk Talk

You guys need to lay off of Deace. The way we have looked the first two games, anybody with an ounce of objectivity is going to lay it out exactly like Deace did. I am hoping for big improvement and even think a win is possible, but when you base your opinion on the first two games, where else do you go????

And why would you put so much clout in one guys opinion of a game. Things change in a hurry. Did we not hear the same guy prior to 2 Saturday's ago stating that this was as solid of a Michigan team as he has seen and they had a legitimate chance at the BCS Championship???

Oh how the tides turn my friends, and I am hoping for a HUGE change starting Saturday at 12:30...

I'm with you as far as QB. Meyer hasn't been as bad as people think. Barkema could have helped him avoid both picks in the first game by coming back to the ball instead of falling to his knees.

Hellsbells...I never went to ISU but I have been on the campus many, many times, thats more than I can say for daze and those other carpetbaggers making money off of ISU and its fans!!!!!!!!!!
    Agreed.

I don't have a problem that they didn't go to ISU (I didn't). However, it would be nice if they had at least been fans for a couple of years. I can't imagine being a ISU fan and then starting up a Hawkeye web site.

Agree totally, I have my degree from UNI, but have had been going to ISU games since I was 1 year old. Lets not build a website to make some money and then "like" the school that you built the site about.

He rips on ISU more than Jon Miller does, have some pride in the program and stick up for it - even when its down.

    Re: Cy-Hawk Talk

I think everybody here realizes that the slot for hawkeyenation.com was already filled in Deace rolled into town. Deace's interest in ISU is predominately two-fold. Lining his own pockets with an open market at ISU and, when he started CN, some unprecedented success in FB and MBB. And second, keeping his Big 10 alliegiance to Michigan intact by not supporting iowa, and defacto supporting their instate rivals - us.

Now with that said, based on ISU's game one and two, what would one possibly have seen that would give them the idea that ISU had a advantage? I've seen ISU both games. I haven't seen iowa for one second. But if ISU were matched up with Ames high tomorrow, and Ames High being sight-unseen, I'd have a hard time giving ISU an advantage. In two games, our strengths have been our biggest weaknesses, no aspect of the team shines or stands out. With the possible exception of JJ Bass and the running corps as a whole.

Listening to Heft on the radio the other morning, and stumbling all over himself trying to answer the question of "what improved from the first week to the second". He couldn't do it. All he managed was fewer penalties.

That being said - I desperately want the boys to kill iowa. Ohh how I neeeeed that this week.
