Re: Sports Betting Thread
I should have taken Kansas when it was 21.5. The line has now climbed to 25.5. They are home against Toledo and have one common opponent, Central Michigan. Kansas won 52-7 and Toledo lost to them something like 52-31. I think this is a huge revenge game for KU from last season, also Mangino is coaching for his job this season. I really think KU is going to hammer them but Toledo could score a late TD to cover.
I usually do not go with "big" games, but I think I might go with Michigan -8. 2 freshman QB's, the visitor is going to poop his pants. I think Michigan wins by 15-20.

Re: Sports Betting Thread
Toledo probably will be mad next week when they play us after Kansas.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Should be fun at least, I need to stop reading these post late at night after a few cocktails. "It is the nature of man to rise to greatness if greatness is expected of him." John Steinbeck XBOXLive: MNclone PS3: JHudd23 Twitter: JasonAH -

I'm a small time bettor...usually betting $50-$100 per week on college football and the NFL. I don't do any baseball or basketball because its just to volatile. I'll typically bet on 4-5 games per week and then try a 3-4 team parlay.
Looking at the lines for this weekend...anyone have any games they think are locks? I'm thinking of a 4 team parlay for this week: Indy (-7.5) at Tennessee Cincinnati (-7) at Cleveland New Orleans (-4) at Tampa Bay Seattle (-3) at Arizona
$10 pays off $132.
I didn't really see any college lines that looked appealing.
Your thoughts? One way I like to bet is what is called a round robin. Pick 3 teams bet them each straight for say 50. Then pair them up in 3 2 team parlays for 20 each. If you hit 2 out of 3 you can still make money +45 on the straights and +10 on the parlays paying at least 2.5 to 1.
Also, aviod betting parlays with all favs, public mostly bets on favs and you know how the public does long term ATS.
Good Luck!!
Here are some of my plays
Syr. +12.5
ISU +17.5
Tenn. +7.5
Ohio St. -4

We're proud of ya.
From the look of the thread, most people did solid this week. Although we still got tomorrow to worry about.

Re: Sports Betting Thread
The only one that really mattered to me was the even money line bet on our game. I ended up throwing another $10 on it this morning due to a feeling. It is a good feeling let me tell you, oh wait you all know!

Re: Sports Betting Thread
I dont think you are taking the point spread into consideration. He was not suggesting a money line parlay ( meaning teams must win outright ).
On a side note, take the 49ers +3 HEAVY and thank me tomorrow afternoon.
Good luck to all!!!

Re: Sports Betting Thread
I love the early CFB season. So many money lines (no-spread used) right now that are too good to pass up for a small bet and big return. It seems like every week there is 2-3 of these that cash. Rice is really making me happy tonight, they were at +1200 for the game tonight.

22 unanswered 4th QTR (7:31 actually) points and now I'm talking to myself, just hope they can't get a 2nd onside kick in a row.

Re: Sports Betting Thread
Taking Rice on the road was pretty ballsy. They're so bad Texas was able to blow them out.
