Sweet Caroline In Boston

Talk about bad timing! I'm watching the Red Sox/Yankees game and Boston was up 7-2 going into the top of the 8th. New York hangs 6 on the Sox in the inning to go up 8-7. So what do you suppose I heard in the background when the bottom of the 8th rolled around? You got it! Our favorite, Sweet Caroline. Made me chuckle (and cringe) to think their fans are also sometimes forced to yuck their way through the song and pretend "good times never felt so good" when in reality the situation sucks.

They ALWAYS play it at that time in the game, it is one of the greatest traditions in baseball... Everyone in the stands knows all the words.

I also wanted to add that watching their fans' long faces and half-a*sed attempts at singing along reminded me of being at Jack Trice last weekend.

Ok. I'm done. No more cracking on the bad timing of that song. It's out of my system.
