We wore the white tops because this game was honoring the Peach Bowl team of 30 years ago, which wore the white jerseys in that game.

I agree - we should keep these unis permanently. I liked the "next season's" version, but I like these much better.

When I turned on the game and saw those uniforms - that was my immediate thought. I really like the throw-backs. I say KEEP THEM!!!

Man, if those uni's are the reason we played so well today, the clones need to wear them CONSTANTLY. Home, away, it doesn't matter. Hell, send the kids to class in them.

I think Jersey sales would double if they had something like that available. I'd be in line to get mine, that's for sure.

    Throwbacks - 30 Years Ago

Some interesting history that we were discussing in the stands on Saturday - 30 years ago, when the rivalry was renewed, EIU won in Iowa City by just two points (12 - 10). A low-scoring affair with a two-point differential.

I thought the throwback uniforms looked great and wouldn't mind seeing that again.

Couldn't agree more. Tweak the helmets a bit (I would just prefer the big I and not the ISU in it) and I think we have a uniform that we could call our "everyday." They looked freakin' sweet.
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

I'm the odd ball, I thought the jerseys were so-so, I hated the helmets, but you guys are right.... if we are winning games while we wear them I see no reason to change!

By the sounds of things, I think we finally have a design everyone agrees upon, and will end the uniform debate for good.

You aren't an odd ball. The throwbacks were fun but they were just that. Seeing the jerseys reminded me of the Walden era, and we also had about five different colors in there.

Also, wearing white at home is a sacrilege, and gray masks in 2007 is a fad.

    What a memorable win though.
