Absolutely loved the pics before the season of the uniforms, but I didn't know exactly how it would look once our Cyclones wore them on the field: They looked AWESOME. I say KEEP THE THROWBACKS!!!!
Loved the throwbacks and they looked great - even from the upper deck. I hope that a "Iowa Energy" moment overtakes the marketing "geniuses" and realize that a trip down memory lane might also be the road to the future.
From the past could spring our future - If there is anyone smart in the ISU marketing and promotions - they will go forward withe the throwbacks they displayed on Sept 15.
This is a no - brainer. If the fans and athletes want it so much - and the momentum provided by the prospect of returning to our roots and playing hard-nosed football is so powerfull, why not?
Sell the special jerseys and whatnot from this very special day in September 2007, but let's get back to it on opening day in 2008.
Let's take those '77 jerseys with us into a future that is very bright. Jamie - screw the pimply-faced marketing peeps that will tray to talk you out of it.
Go with it - let's celebrate our roots and look toward the future at the same time.
