Perhaps one day, ISU will be favored by 17, and then actually win by 21 or more...

Actually I think fans can root for both UNI and EIU. They are in two different leagues (1AA and 1A).

If you are going to say UNI is state champs, not so fast my friend. Drake has their shot this weekend!! Could it be Bulldogs state champs in both Football and Basketball with in a year?

checking future schedules at the clones offical site it appears that Iowa is on the schedule all the way thru 2015. UNI as well, but i dont know if that is every year until then. looks the squakeyes are stuck with us.

I forget where I read this, but Barta is claiming that no agreement was made by BVDV and Iowa's previous athletic director (opposed to claims made by JP). Barta claims the agreement runs thru 2010, and he's considering terminating the series (until the state government once again intervenes)

You must have mis-read. He's not considering terminating the series. The only problem is that there was no written agreement with how long the series is currently signed for.

Don't confuse terminating the agreement with terminating the series. Although Iowa fans would most likely want to terminate the series my sense is Barta is looking to terminate the contract so another one can be written that would benefit Iowa more in revenue.

In Barta's defense, the Big 10 network does change some of those issues. It will be interesting to see if the network is still in existence by 2010.

I don't see the game ending any time soon. Too much recent parity and no violence(which I think is the origional reason it was cancelled for 50 years).

I still wouldn't mind seeing it end, but I know I'm a minority voice on this issue.
