Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
Headed out Friday night with a stop in Burlington. Should be a great game since they think they will win. Think they will respect Blythe much this year?
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

And yes. The Upper Peninsula is quite the drive.

Be polite and right, do not tell him it's to see a woman. Tell him it is a business trip to one of the big automakers.

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
We're heading to Ia City Thursday night (from DSM). Doing the Cubs on Friday, Clones on Saturday and Cubs again on Sunday. I could be talked into a beer or two (three, four, five...)
You have tix?
Apparently Lot 25 is where it's at. Along Sencor (??) Drive, about a 1/4 to 1/2 from the Glass Bowl. Supposedly the lots don't open until 3 hours before kickoff (WTF???), but we were told that it's a rather lax rule. A friend from CR.com said that some guys from over there will be in 25 with a Cyclone flag, at everyone should stop by.
If anybody hears of a bar to congregate pre-game, let us know.
Safe trip to all those going.

And yes. The Upper Peninsula is quite the drive. He's at a Materials Engineering conference. Having to get in the van (sober - one condition of going) at 5 a.m. put a bit of a damper on his post-Iowa celebrations. -
Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
I don't have tickets for the Cubs or ISU yet. Planning on getting some when I get over there.
I live in the Iowa City area. Anybody going to Wrigley on Friday interested in doing a convoy on the way over?

Bar update: 2 suggestions from a Toledo alum.
Jake's Part-Time Saloon is really close by.
Also, Chasers.

And yes. The Upper Peninsula is quite the drive. As Superfan said, Materials Engineering conference (Any guesses as to what my major is???)
Conference is at the Cobo center, so we're hanging around that area of town
And I will be visiting the GM tower again tonight... but thats to drink the Canadian's booze for free and uh... socialize with others from the field (Atleast we are officially invited...)
Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -
Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
Good luck getting tickets to the Cubs game without breaking the bank. Last home series of the season is this weekend.
Tickets for the Toledo game are looking like they may be tough to come by. Didn't find any on StubHub or ebay.
We'll have to see if we can get some of us together in the lots at the Glass Bowl.
