Who is heading to Toledo?
The family are I are taking off after work on Thursday to make the drive to Ohio from North Carolina. First time I get to see the Clones in over 6 years. Pretty excited! Who is going? Any good places to tailgate?

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
The g/f and I are going. We're heading out on Friday morning with a stop at Wrigley Field for the afternoon game, then continuing on to Toledo that night.

Cheer extra loud for me, I am helping in-laws move that day. Let's get back to 2-2!

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
Superfan and I will be there - though not in the ISU section... (they didn't exactly alot us very many tickets... so it sold out fast)

Cheer loud and proud for us!

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
Ten of us. Flying to Cleveland Thursday night. It was cheaper to rent a limo from Cleveland for all 10 of us than to rent three cars so look for the stretch with 10 hopped up ISU fans......

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
Where is everybody going to tailgate? Any good bars close to the stadium?

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
If I remember right, visitor seats are around Section 22 & 23...
Flag Guy and I have seats in Section 24, Row L.
As for tailgating. I remember reading their tailgate lots open 3 hours prior to kickoff. Here's a link to the campus map: http://www.utoledo.edu/campus-map/Ba...(06-17-03).pdf
From their website:
# Premium Parking in lots 3, 4, 5, 9, 27, & 28 – contact Dave Nottke @ 419-530-2510.
# GA Parking is $20 for a season pass and $5 per game in lots 1, 2, 13, 19, 20, 25, 25, and the East/West parking ramps.
From the looks of it, I'd say Lot 19 is closest to the stadium... thoughts?

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
I should hopefully be making the 1 hour drive from my place in Michigan (depends on a tentative work trip).
Anyway... I'll be with a client on Wednesday who is a Toledo alum. I'll get some details on bars and tailgate areas. Check back.

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
You must be from the part of Michigan that isn't isolated from society...
(I'm in Detroit right now and have been talking to people from the northern peninsula who had to drive just as long to get here as we did to get here from Ames)
Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -

I am going and look forward to updates on where others are going to meet Saturday afternoon before the game.

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
I'll be there. I know some Toledo fans, but I'd rather tailgate with fellow Cyclone fans!

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
Me and two others are heading to Chicago Friday for the Cub game, then over early Saturday for as much tailgating as we can get in.
Be nice to get some info on where to go.
I posted on rocketfans.com, not much going on there. But somebody pointed me at Launchpad which is a little busier.
Got this one response from Rockettefan on the first board.
"As far as tickets go, you should be able to buy them at the gate (especially since we aren't having the best season). You might want to call the ticket office, though, just to be sure (419-530-gold).From what I'm to understand, Lot 25 is a happening place, but a lot of the posters on the boards park in Lot 10 (reserved for those with passes), which is located at the North end of the Glass bowl. You should definately stop by and have some beers. If you go on the board I cited above, you'll be able to meet some other really nice Rocket fans. Definately talk to Ranger Rocket, because he knows everyone and may let you tour the jamulance (you'll know it when you see it). I hope I could help you a little bit, and I look forward to meeting some ISU fans on Saturday! GO ROCKETS!!!! "

Re: Who is heading to Toledo?
I'm also heading over on Friday to hit Wrigley, then on to Toledo on Sat. I'd definitely be interesting in tailgating with some other Cyclones both in Toledo and in Chicago. Anybody else doing the double header?
