Keller to Nebraska
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2557069
Apparently he is gonna take over after Taylor is gone next year.

That's pretty good news for Husker fans I'd imagine. Keller seems to be the prototypical quarterback for the Callahan system. I can really see him thriving at Nebraska as long as Callahan is there.
-
yeah that makes me sick to my stomach.....out of all schools he had to choose nu.....(sobbing)

Not a done deal. His father would not say to local paper that he really knew Bill Callahan well. It was originally mentioned that Colorado and okahoma needed a one year qb. The other two interested teams were Louisville and UTEP. The big news is Kirk Ferentz of Iowa and Notre Dame are now petitioning for the one year service of this stud qb. The NCAA rule is you must start classes no later than 12 days after everyone else. And Nebraska has a tougher rule (yeah!) so Sam Keller must be signed up b y next Monday. Bet the Hawkeyes can use the full 12 days and call it good.
Again begs the question - Does the Big Ten/11 have weaker rules than the Big XII on competition???? The GPA treatment was certainly a surprise. i would think something like GPA was standard in the NCAA. Now why would Iowa need a one year qb unless they are weak in that position for next year?
He might even stay at ASU.
Who would have thought Nebraska and ASU are fighting over the same type of qb? And why did Sam teammates want the "other whitemeat qb" to start?
Questions, questions.

Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
I would love to see Keller go somewhere besides Nebraska (and Iowa for that matter). If you read the NU boards yesterday, they were already predicting national championship for next year.

Why would Iowa need a one year QB? I mean, I thought they signed that stud QB from Illinois a couple years ago....Christensen I think.

According to ESPN, Keller has enrolled at Nebraska.

this isn't all bad... sitting out a year can have huge negative effects on a guy... ask maurice clarett
This is my sarcasm pirate. There are many like it but this one is mine. -
I don't know what the hell is going on with the whole Keller situation. As Bootcy said, ESPN along with Sean Callahan (Nebraska's Rivals reporter) through WOWT in Omaha are both reporting Keller has enrolled, meanwhile theLincoln paper is reporting that Keller hasn't enrolled at Nebraska, only that Keller has formally applied for admissions.
Regardless of which source is correct, I guess Oklahoma is making a late push for Keller.

According to Omaha World Herald, Sam is still checking out about 7 possibilities. Nothing is final this morning according to his Dad (no, not WM, but really his Dad). Remember that the fellow found out he was No 2 at ASU only last week. Clock is ticking on his decision. His father played at Michigan. The guy is 6-4, 230 with a rocket arm and lots of CONFIDENCE. Like he can throw the ball through the wall.
Looks like Iowa can use a qb for one year just like the pros do.

This thing is developing into a friggin soap opera, the latest as of 2:15 from the Lincoln newspaper: http://journalstar.com/blog/huskers....&pb=1#comments -
I wonder...should he not land in Lincoln...just how many Husker fans will locate the nearest bridge and take the plunge.
If something like this is scheduled, can you notify us garn? I wanna make sure I got enough popcorn for everyone. :)

Now that the "Cessna Has Landed" at Eppley, is the Hummer rental car going to Lincoln or Iowa City.
He can even put the pads and helmet on in the car.
Maybe if he heads towards Lincoln, we can see a cavalcade going down I-80.
Oh to be a qb in Lincoln under Callahan. Talk about living in glass houses. That is why Zac Taylor is so good. Although he doesn't have a rocket arm, he is mentally tough for publicity and adversity.
If this does not work out, maybe Curt Dukes will be available again.
Joe Ganz and Beau Davis are watching the zoooooo. Mr QB Witt and Brian H too.
Word has it that BillC is continuously on the prowl for a good qb, morning, noon and night.
