With Justin Hamilton committing to us do we offer pomlee now. He is an Iowa kid with alot of skill and really good defensive skills. Ive heard things about his academics but no one has questioned him on the court. I think he is worth the risk with his pure talent and major skills were recruiting him before the blood clot like wisconsin, tennessee, kansas and other schools from his list on rivals. He seems like he would be a really good fit and he is very intersted with Iowa State leading all other schools for his services right now.

I hope we do - I've been on the Pomlee bandwagon for a while now and I think he would be a nice addition. We'll have 6 scholarship guards in the 2007 and 2008 classes, I don't see how offering another big guy could hurt. Does anybody with connections know about our Pomlee situation? I'd love to get him so they could round out the 2008 class and just move on to 2009 and 2010.

I hope we do also. Even if his grades are suspect we might take a risk on him. If he does not make it into school we can always bank the scholly for the next year. Then again I think if we get's Stutz we will have our big post's for the next 7 years counting Dykstra and we can concentrate on skill players like Royce White, Rodney Williams, and Harrison Barnes.

I think grades may be a concern with Pomlee, and I'm not sure we are in a position to take that chance.....Hopefully this info is wrong and we offer.

Here's a little background on Pomlee that appeared in the Quad City Times in July. A bit dated but still gives some info... QCTimes.com / Central standout back on court | | |

Not long ago, we were listed as No. 1 on the Sturtz charts. I suggest the coaching staff is still weighing whether we have a chance with him before considering Pomlee. Seems Mann is the top priority now.

I'm guessing it might have to do more with what happens with Stutz, etc.
