Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy

Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
Dallas Cowboys: The new Oakland Raiders. I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone. -
Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
The Dallas Jailboys, you never heard of em?

Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
I know this is to help fill a hole on the line with the loss of Jason Ferguson for the season.
But c'mon!
I do think he got a raw deal on getting cut, what he did ended up being nothing. Doesn't mean I trust him to behave though...

Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
Mike & Mike brought up the question as to why Tank would be interviewed by Dallas this week, when he can't play til week 9. Possible (though unlikely) answer: Dallas plays the Bears this weekend....

Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
He is a very good player who makes some very bad decisions off the field.

Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
If he screws up again, cut him. It's that easy. It's not like he's going to receive a huge contract and cutting him would give Dallas a big cap hit.
I'm not convinced it's a perfect fit, though. He's never played in a 3-4 and he's more of a rusher than run stopper. But Wade knows defense.

Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
There was talk a while back he may sign w/ Indy, but that they were going to wait until closer to week 8. Looks like the 'Boys are trying to beat them to the punch. If I were his handlers, I would make a serious push to reconsider signing in Dallas. For obvious reasons.

The Jailbird team would have to be the Cinncinati Bengals, like 12 arrests over the last two years...
no comparison.....
Go Boyz!!!!!!!
And i agree, sign him to an incentive type contract and put the lockdown on his off-field activities, if he can't handle that type of discipline - cut him...

Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
They will put him in jail to protect him when he is not scrimmaging. They wioll let him out for games also. This is how you protect your property in Texas.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
Texas loves guns. Tank loves guns. Perfect match.
If he has "learned his lesson" then this will be a good pickup for Dallas. If he doesn't just cut him. I think its a good situation for Dallas.

Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
I think this one is a obvious choice for Jerry and the Boys. The guy is young and a great talent. Like it was said before, give him an incentive type contract and if all goes well this could be a huge pick up for them. He would be the perfect fit in my book in the middle of that front three. He isn't your typical nose guard, but D-Ware isn't your typical outside linebacker either and he's one of the best in the game today. We will see when Tank has his physical today at Valley Ranch if it's a go. GO COWBOYS

Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
If they can get Tank in playing shape and get one of thier recievers hooked on the nose candy they will be back in the super bowl in no time! Bring back the glory days of the Dallas Convicts! Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving. -
Re: Tank Johnson expected to be a Cowboy
You guys talk like he's committed murder or something. He hasn't been that bad and he was innocent of the DUI thing in Arizona this summer. No brainer to sign this guy.

If he really is the changed person he claims to be, then great. I just won't be placing any bets in his favor anytime soon.
