Kickoff for the Nebraska game

Since the time has not been set for this game are they still trying to get this game on TV?

I don't see how they can get it on TV, being the Big 12 slots are full. Perhaps they're trying (I hope Pollard is kicking/screaming on this) or working on a PPV deal.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nebraska is working on a PPV deal with FSN Midwest for this game. A decision one way or the other should be announced later this week. Keep in mind the host school is responsible for arranging and paying for a PPV telecast.

Flander, FYI, if Nebraska does indeed go the PPV route for the NU/ISU game, both Comcast and Time Warner in KC have made previous Nebraska PPV telecast's available for purchase.

I've never done the PPV thing - how does it work - say - for a DirecTV subscriber?

If your receiver is hooked up to a phone line, you can order using your remote, if not, call DirecTV customer service. I've got Extra Innings via DirecTV and none of my receivers are hooked up to a phone line.

Mine are hooked up to a phone line, I just wasn't sure where PPV sports events showed up on the programming list.

Gottcha. As an example, Nebraska's game this Saturday is a PPV game and a channel number hasn't been assigned by either DirecTV or Dish Network, but should show up on the program guide by mid to late week.

They will show up in the 600s and 700s. If they do end up getting a PPV together, we should have a CF get together and split the costs.

ISUfan22 was right on the price and as far as the announcers go, they are Nebraska guys.

Me too! Need to see whether to go out Friday and come back after the game, or go out Saturday and come back Sunday.

IIRC, the Big 12 won't allow a PPV game during a cable or ABC TV broadcast window. Normally Nebraska schedule's it's PPV games for 6pm, however, the Ball St PPV game is scheduled for 11:30 as there are no other Big 12 games on TV at that time. Looking at the TV window from the Big 12's website for the 29th, if it's a PPV, chances are it'll be 6pm as there are no cable (VS, FSN, etc.) or ABC Big 12 TV window's past 2:30.

Making a long story short it'll be either an early afternoon or early evening kick. Sorry I cann't be of more help for you guys who are heading over to Lincoln for the game. We should have something in concrete though later this week.
