ISU vs. Toledo game on my big screen!
Man, am I pumped for Saturday night. I decided to do the monthly subscription to the Clone Zone ($8.95) so I can watch the football game live. Then my wife figured out how to connect our 61" big screen to the computer, so several friends/relatives and I will be able to watch the game in style. The picture quality probably won't be best, but that's okay. $8.95 is a small price to pay for a Cyclone party!!

Your wife is the technical one? That is awesome. Plain awesome.

If you sit a good distance from your TV the quality will be ok.

What TV input did you use? HDMI, red/yellow/white, other?

How fast of an internet connection do you need to stream this. I have 1.5 mbps from qwest.

This is what I was going to do at home on Saturday. I have a MacBook that has a DVI out. ? tho, how do you get your Clone Zone to go full-screen? I haven't been able to get it to work.
UPDATE: I found out how to do this on Windows Media Player for WinXP. Any Mac-Daddies how there know how to get it full screen on a Mac?

Yeah, I'm seriously considering doing the same thing and hooking it up to the projector in my dorm. Hall party!

I haven't tried it yet, but I hear that you can look in the source for clonezone page, get the URL for the video and then tell Quicktime Player to open the URL. Then you can get it full screen.

Re: ISU vs. Toledo game on my big screen!
Hook it up, set it it up as your secondary monitor, click extend my desktop settings onto monitor 2, open the Clone Zone media player, drag it onto the second screen, and then hit full screen on the player.
Done

Re: ISU vs. Toledo game on my big screen!
Has anyone tried to push the cloneZone signal out to a TV thru an Xbox 360? I have a wonderful little program called Tversity installed on my PC that converts video on the fly and pushes it across my network to the 360 for viewing on the big screen. I'll have to give this a try.....

Re: ISU vs. Toledo game on my big screen!
For the KSU game I hooked up my PC on Clone Zone to my HD projector in my basement. The quality wasn't to good, but shrinking it down to around 50 inches I had a decent picture at around 14 feet from the screen. Not great, but considering it worked pretty well. I plan to do the same this weekend.
I had no issues with my Iowa Telecom DSL speed (?). It never hung up once. Was very pleased and was a major improvement over last years' free MBB broadcasts.
Would recommend to anyone at $8.95.

Re: ISU vs. Toledo game on my big screen!
I had it hooked up to a 60" last time. I don't think it matters what connections you use, either component, vga, or hdmi. It didn't make much of a difference. It's watchable, but I wouldn't worry about the video connection.

That $9 should get you three away games. $3 a pop.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
