That's ridiculous. Let the fans have their fun. I realize that every now and then people get hurt or trampled. If the fans care enough to put themselves in that situation, then they should realize there is a risk involved and not blame the university or whatnot in case something happens. If you don't feel like rushing the field when you win a big game or a thriller and you are near the bottom of the stands... move back a ways or off to the side. It's not too difficult...

Sorry, I just get sick of the way some thing are handled in society today.

Nope. This is an SEC rule, not NCAA.

That's a good question. I don't see our fans rushing their field. (Although UNI did rush ours after they beat us this year.) I would assume that if it did happen though, they would get fined, and then they would try to make us pay the fine.

I love rushing the field for big wins... at HOME. I don't think I would ever do it at an away game. Even I think that's classless.
