Re: Cubs on ESPN?
Guess you are a football state since baseball is blacked out.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

FOR EVERYONE UPSET ABOUT THIS --
Don't waste your time emailing DirecTV, Dish Network, or Mediocre-com. MLB sets the blackout restrictions. Send your emails to good old Bud Selig and copy your television outlet in the email. That wasy MLB will hear the complaint as well as your television outlet (who can also put pressure on MLB).

Iowa Cubs MVP goes YARD! 2-2

Re: Cubs on ESPN?
MLB.tv is the way to go fellas. If your going to be on your computer chatting on here all night pay the $20 a month for every single game.

Re: Cubs on ESPN?
You guys in central Iowa are a 5-6 hour drive from Wrigley and have it blacked out, yet I'm a 2+ hour drive from Wrigley and I can watch it. I guess it's a good thing I'm in Brewers' country so I can watch the Cubs. -

unfortunately, he is SO right about this. As a white sox fan, been dealing with this alllllll myyyyyy life. Worst thing is, every off season the media puts pressure on mlb and the commish about this issue, and it doesn't matter. This past off season, selig was particularly stern about the mlb not changing it's blackout restrictions. buggers.
it's insane to think that anyone in central iowa (who are at least 3 hours from the nearest stadium) could be considered to be in the 'local viewing area' or 'target market for tickets.' Think about this one - someone in NW iowa doesn't get to watch the cubs, white sox, or cardinals, even tho all 3 teams are over 5 or 6 hours away. buggers again.
it's people like us that are actually HURTING the mlb, cause we're not buying tickets, OR subscribing to cable packages or companies that carry games and are directly affected by mlb. Buggers for them!
What's more, we can't even buy a season package of mlbtv for $80 online, because blackout restrictions STILL APPLY! Buggers to us! no baseball! buggers to mlb! no 80 dollars!
SO, just for reference for future mlb seasons for you blacked out baseball fans (especially those whitesox and cubs fans in central iowa that don't even get CSN to watch chicago games...), there are SOME fans out there in the country who still subscribe to mlbtv, and use anonymous browsing software to watch games. these software programs let you surf the internet with random IP addresses, so that 'hackers' can't steal your IP address. hackers, mlbtv, same diff. buggers to bud selig.
end rant. buggers to me.

Re: Cubs on ESPN?
Maybe I need to get a Slingbox and have some friends in Chicago hook it up to a spare TV for me.

Re: Cubs on ESPN?
Just watch the game on the internet using SopCast. Easy as that. I don't know what you are all complaining about, this always happens.

Re: Cubs on ESPN?
