It appears that there are 4 elite teams...USC, LSU, and Florida for certain...and maybe OU (OU might not be good enough defensively to qualify for elite status). WVU does not have the defense to qualify for certain and they really only have two options on offense (although those 2 are great). After that there are just a bunch of teams where it's "anybody can beat anybody".
For certain, the Big 10 is tremendously weak. It looks like the only true top 25 team that resides in the Big 10 is Ohio St...everyone else is weak. The Big 12 North is also very weak...I'm not sure if we should view that as being unfortunate or fortunate for us...but it is what it is.
You know Louisville was a phony after Middle Tennessee dropped 48 on them and then travelled to LSU and couldn't score playing against mostly 2nd and 3rd teamers for LSU (LSU had 28 different players record tackles in that game).
USF is a nice story but their signature win against Auburn is losing luster with Auburn's performance each week...Auburn is down this year. Cal has a nice team but again the "big win" over Tennessee at home has lost its luster with Tennessee proving to be a pretty middle of the road team in the SEC.
Frankly, the biggest game of the year will be in Baton Rouge when Florida comes to town.
I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.
The new poll should be AP TOP FIVE. We onkly need 5 teams and everyone else is an honorable mention. Not inpressed with Washington, Georgia, Nebraska, Muissouri, Ojlahoma State, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Penn State, Michigan, UCLA, Louisville. Maybe Ohio State mnight be okay. Look out AF, Army and Navy are playing better than Notre Dame. What happened to their cream puffs? Must have eaten them last year.
Current top teams:
Big Five (GOOD) and then the also rans like Rutgers and Auburn and then the not so good teams like Arkansas (BAD) and then the pathetic like Nebraska (UGLY). Can you spell PARITY 'CEPT TOP 5.
CFH HMagic bball season.
Let my fred's Four Horsemen ride.
