just wanted to post this that they have turned it around. Ive been a packers fan my whole life and its good to see them finally starting the season well with the last couple not so well. Its great how there defense is really good and they are scoring points. It would be nice if they could run the ball better and had a better running back. hopefully next year they draft a good RB with so many good ones in the draft next year

Defense playing well, Favre has some healthy weapons at receiver now and the man himself is playing well.
I watched most of the game today - sure looked like they were trying to get him a TD pass when they had the ball inside the 5...twice inside the one and they had a false start on one play and threw it on another. That could have lost the game for 'em.

I've always respected Brett Favre. He is a winner and a competitor. He is all about toughness and that is contagious to the rest of the team. I'm glad he is winning instead of losing away the remaining time he has left.

As I see more replays/highlights - how about that Brett Favre, eh?
I mean, people were telling him to retire, he was out of gas and the Packers needed to rebuild.
Put a couple healthy receivers around him, give him some protection and he's still one of the best QBs in the league. Should my Cowboys not make it, I'll definitely be pulling for Favre and the Pack.

Now this is a thread I love to read. It has been tough being a Packers fan the last couple years with the struggles and constant talk of telling Favre to retire. He is a great QB and deserves to go out on a high note!

And as crummy as this one felt, Cyclone fans, it could be a lot worse. You could be a Hawkeye. - Sean Keeler (imagine that, actually quoting Keeler!)

3-0 baby. Favre still has that Canon for an arm. Not as much zip on it as there used to be but there is still some zing to it. He just needed some weapons. I would have loved to get Moss and see Favre winging it downfield to him.

| Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." |
