Clone Zone: To keep or not to keep?

Trying to decide whether or not to keep the Clone Zone subscription since it has been a month since I signed up for the Kent State game.

I'm sitting on the fence. Are others finding it worth it?

Re: Clone Zone: To keep or not to keep?

I signed up like you to see the Kent State game. My intent was to cancel before the 2nd month. But even with the Toledo problems, I have found it valuable to be able to watch the replays of the games, interviews, etc. So I may keep it until basketball starts and ESPN full court takes over!

I dont mind it. Pretty cheap alternative, especially for a year that we arent televised. I would assume their technology will only get better. Maybe even a better picture at some point.

I thought that after the Toledo problems that everyone was getting a free month? Did this not happen?

It doesn't mention a free month like was announced on the radio during the game. But says they are making amends maybe we just need to call.

It crapped out in the second quarter. And came back in the third or forth.

Clone Zone Difficulties - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - Iowa State Cyclones Sports

Basically says ISU AD staff will be "working" with subscribers to "make amends"...

I guess I just appreciate the opportunity to be able to see a game I wouldn't normally see that I don't want my money back.

No it didn' work well for while and I was frustrated but it worked eventually. It's not like JP was out to rip anyone off and he was also relying on someone else to provide the coverage.

Personally I don't like going to the ISU Athletics Website and then having to have a membership in the Clone Zone to view Cyclone news. It used to be free and in text format. Not it is audio or video and you need a membership. Doesn't Pollard have anything to give free anymore?

Holy Toledo, Batman. The clone zone went clown zone on us and we had no idea. This must have been a Hawkeye conspiracy or the Rag at work. Heard the players were moving slow motion. First period scores were being made in the second period. The yahoo voice was ten minutes too fast. Batman, what are we going to do?

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.

Things cant be free when you are building a new system. Funds = progress. 9 bucks doesnt bother me. Video is decent and the extras are nice. The cyclones.com website is horriffic and I would love it to be more simple, but I cant gripe too much about clonezone

The news is still free, and in text. You can even sign-up for e-mail and RSS alerts (also for free).

Even the "haves" across the conference offer subscription services for extra revenue.

Are there any football fans in the building on campus that looks like an old computer punch card? If there are any in there, get their brains to work.
