Re: Some stats going into conference play
Bret has been very solid the last two games, hopefully it continues.
Looks like Blythe will break Lane's receptions record in 3-4 weeks, and his yards record in 1-2 weeks.

Re: Some stats going into conference play
Seems to show how nicely our O-Line has performed.

Re: Some stats going into conference play
Just remember that these are also supposed to have been the easiest games we will play all year.....not saying that Bret hasn't been better the last 2 games, but it wouldn't surprise me to see his numbers dip (rushing yd/att, passing comp %) once conference play starts.

Re: Some stats going into conference play
We are also rated 22nd in the nation in total defense.
So as McCarney would say: We have a nationally ranked defense.

So as McCarney would say: We have a nationally ranked defense. wouldn't he have said that if we were ranked 117th? -

2007: 3 / 12 yds (4 games) So Bret is on pace for 9 sacks this season? Wow! I know we play better teams coming up and that number will very likely be more than 9, but I could see Bret being sacked around 20-25 times, which will still be the lowest since '02. We all know who our QB was then. Seneca was pretty good at avoiding sacks I'd say (insert captain obvious picture *here*), which obviously makes the '02 number look very low. This is probably the best trend I saw in the stats. Very impressive job done so far by this staff with a make-shift o-line at the beginning of the year.

Re: Some stats going into conference play
The turnovers are the biggest difference right now. Even if we could get that number to zero, it would be a huge improvement.

Re: Some stats going into conference play
Look at the turnover margins and the W/L records associated with each.
Any correlation? Yeah, I thought so.
