    Is The State of the Nations still available somewhere?

    I don't see that on Mediacom channel 22 anymore. Am I missing something?

    Yeah... but by then I'm not really going to care to much. I'll be in bed at 8:30 or earlier tomorrow so I wouldn't to watch it till sat night at the earliest. By then I know the outcome of the games and will only want to crash.

    Steve's rant was basically about how after hearing Gene talk after the Toledo loss, he is absolutely convinced that Iowa State hired the right man for the job.

    He also said that he thinks Gene now realizes that the biggest thing he is coaching right now is the mentality of our players.

    He pointed out that our defense is a top 25 defense in the nation right now in yards given up per game (he didn't mention that we haven't played a good offense yet). I was too bummed from the Toledo loss to realize that we didnt' even give up 300 yards to them.

    He said that 2007 Iowa State football would kill 2006 Iowa State football.

    He said that Dan McCarney would still be our coach if he had JJ Bass because he would have had back to back Big 12 North Championships.

    He said this is the best offensive line play we've had since the late part of 04 and the first half of 02.

    And the line of the show is that "Iowa State football has been destiny's b*tch."
