Not Many Top Recruits For Big 12 So Far

I was looking at the Rivals Top 150 commitment list for 2008. I see that the Big 12 only has 3 commitments on the current list, one each from Baylor, Kansas and Texas A&M. By comparison the PAC 10 has 19 total and UCLA has 4 in the top 51.

There still are quite a few players left with about 45 or so not committed. Of the 2 in-state players they have Gibbs at 99 and Gatens at 120.

It's definitly a lean year for the Big 12 so far - but Kansas and Texas have a lot of scholarships to offer. We'll see 10 or more by the final signing day.

You have to look at the turnover in coaches in the big 12 the last 2 years. That is one reason. The other might be that Kansas has almost everyone returning and Texas is very young also. When the two big dogs don't need that many guys. Wait till 2009 when KU needs recruits and so does Texas. They will load up. Also there is a lot of new system guys.

LOL.....I have first hand information that Andrew Brommer (recent Iowa commit) is horrible.

Iowa's product on the court will be my proof....Oh and there is good news coming from an ISU's standpoint later today. Hopefully, the best news comes tomorrow from Lincoln.
