uh, whatever. I like beating KU as much as the next guy but they are just another conference game. Nebraska will NEVER be just another conference game even if they are terrible.

If you really take a look at it, if Iowa State scores instead of throwing an interception for a touchdown down deep, it's either 17-21 or 13-21, then with the next score 24-21 or 20-21, depending on whether they would decide to go for two and tie. The last two scores for Nebraska were from interceptions. So this was a very, very close game that unfortunately hinged on a few mistakes.

I thought that ISU could have won the game and the play on the field proved that it could have happened... Deal with it... ISU is much better than its record.

no he's right we should of turned in the jersey's and said lets not play. I'm sure there was some non-believer buff's fan that said the same about colorado playing Oklahoma but see what happen there.

I hope you never cheer during a cyclone upset, take your black cloud and keyboard somewhere else!

With the field position in the first quarter ISU had, and the terrible 14 points (pick 6, interception to 3) ISU really just gave away this game. They might not have won it, but it should have been more competitive. I can't stand people begging the coaches to open up the offense - do they want to go for a big 12 record in turnovers?

I like the way the coaches are calling the game, they mix the run and throw very nice. I think that everyone needs to think about week to this week. It don't happen over night and the coaches have not been working for years at gitting us better. They been hear for less that a year and every player plays better every week. If they git kick off coverage to play better we will win some of these game.

beating iowa strengthened my belief that ISU could win most any game. much like iowa i thought ISU could hang with them. I was pretty upbeat until the dagger that was the 29th to 35th points showed up.

cubs not winning a world series is so over-rated. baseball had 2(TWO) playoff teams until 1969. the cubs, red sox, white sox or any other team for that matter had little chance to win the series.

then only 2 playoff teams per league until what 94?

Because the Cyclones DO have a chance. Look @what Jim Leavitt has done in Florida. What Greg Schiano has done in Rutgers. When they finally get over the hump & win the Big 12, I can say I've been along for the whole ride. It's going to be so sweet.

If we had zero turnover or 13 fewer, we could be 5-0. I am sure after watching the game that we look at our pass receiver too long (lock on one target) and do not look look the opposite direction at first like Sam Keller does, do a real pump fake. With all that talent, Bret could do some little things and do much better. The last interception we went to the well once too often. The defenders were parked out there and they were waiting for his throw. Not good.

Yet, the real problem we have is the special teams are the worst in America after 5 games. No one settles for high school kickoffs. One more off line center snap caused Brandtner to make a shot kick by throwing off his timing. And just kick the ball out of bounds would have been better today. The wind was not the problem.
