The Worst News of the Day
Is not the loss to Nebraska, but the fact that the North appears to be on it's way back.
Colorado upsets Oklahoma.
K-State looking like they will beat Texas.
Kansas and Missouri looking good.
Nebraska is always competitive.
On the upside, we are on the up as well.
So, basically, having the easier South schedule next year doesn't seem like it will be much of a help.

Well the good news is....maybe that will force the Conference to deal with the TV coverage.

I fail to see the North rising back up again as a "bad" thing.

Yeah, I agree. If the North stays down, then our return to solid football will always have a tag on it of "well, the North sucks". I would rather be considered part of a good conference and division.

KSU is putting it to texas right now
Just had an 80 something yard punt returned for a TD, and on the next play they pick it off.
Re: The Worst News of the Day
Unfortunately for us, the Big 12 just isn't as good as some of the other conferences. Having said that, ISU is getting ready to turn the corner bigtime, I can feel it... and at the end of the day ISU is the only team I care about.

Well obviously, I guess those 50 point losses to Nebraska, Kansas State, and Colorado in recent history makes me worried that it will be a VERY hard road to the top.

"To be the best, you have to play the best." When the North returns, we'd be playing the best in the Big 12 6 games out of the season instead of just 2 or 3.

To be the best, you have to beat the best. I think we'll be playing them one way or the other.
Re: The Worst News of the Day
You have to play them first... but you're right, I butchered that quote. I'd still rather play in the better division of the conference than a struggling one.
Re: The Worst News of the Day
The North gaining back some respectability is a great thing for us. Good players want to play against good competition and get on TV. And when we start winning in the conference, I sure don't want to hear "but it's easy to win in the Big 12 North".
