0 goals scored, that is why Americans don't want to watch soccer, there is no excitement in it. Honestly if it were not for the Dwight Schrute commercials with the US team, I would not even know there was a world cup going on right now.

Women's world cup is like most other women's sports: too slow and a huge step below the men. I have a lot of interest in the men's World Cup but had no interest at all in this.

you are a little off Brianhos.... Americans love Hockey... a great hockey game is 1-nill.

I am more concerned that our good goallkeeper was sat down by coach for a 36 year old fast, but weak keeper lost the game to Brazil 4-0. Now the good goalkeeper was kicked off team. The old goalkeeper is not very good. She was not strong enough to grab the ball. She was bad.

Oh well, wait for 4 more years for next FIFA.

I like to watch Womens Tennis, not only do they look good, you can actually watch rallies, mens tennis is just too fast.

Good point, but hockey has excitement throughout, and lots of scoring chances. Soccer you are lucky if there are 4 scoring chances in an entire game.

Soccer is about the beauty of ball control and footwork and superb passing and knowing your teammates and good faking when you are touched.

Hockey is more about banging you opponent into a pulp if he tries to play finesse game.

Football, is more about planning, predicting, and synchronizing a number of personalities so that they totally buffalo the opponent. It is about getting to the opponent and tackling him singlehandedly.

Baseball is a thinking man's game, using great hand eye coordination, fielding smoothly, and running around the diamond without pulling a hammy.

Basketball is about bouncing a ball in a spot where your opponent does not expect, pushing in to rebound, anticipating the bounce off the rim, passing cleverly, and putting the all delicate backspin on the perfect shot, and then swishing free throws.

Golf is about hitting a dinky white ball very far and very straight despit the weather with very few swings and then gliding the little dimples so carefully into a dinky hole.

Possibly one of the dumbest coaching decisions ever. You have a goalie on a hot streak and you decide to start the other one in the semifinals for no good reason? It's completely indefensible.

No, I have watched it a lot. I watched a ton of the mens world cup games last year, and it was just very slow and boring. And ohh my god, the flopping was getting so annoying. A mosquito would bite these guys and they would about act like their leg was severed. Then would be up fine 30 seconds later. It was a joke. I understand all about soccer, it is fun to play, but hideous to watch.
