Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

Of course it will be televised. We're playing Texas. I'm almost gonna guarantee that the Oklahoma game is on TV as well.

The TV selection process hasn't been very kind to ISU. Just wondering if Mack Brown didn't pull some strings to help get his pal Gene some much needed exposure for potential recruits. UT still gets their choice of recruits, but would probably rather see the next guys in line head north instead of to a south division rival.

If Mack did that (which I'm sure he didn't, Texas just plain gets to be on TV, no string-pulling required), Texas should fire him. While he and Chizik still are friends, in this business they're competitors. You don't help out those you're about to face in battle.

the only reason this is on TV, is that the game is so far away from Austin. If ISU was playing at Austin this year, it wouldn't be on TV.
