Remaining Schedule:
vs. #23 Texas
vs. #6 Oklahoma
at #11 Missouri
vs. # 35 Kansas State
vs. #28 Colorado
at #20 Kansas
All of the remaining teams we play are in the AP Top 25, or at least receiving votes.
Looks like fun!
| Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.
The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success. This is Cyclone Football. |

Big 12 and big 10 are NUTS this year. Half of the top 25 is those two conferences.

Schedule of death got even harder than we thought. We better start scheduling some directional schools so we can get easy wins at the beginning of the year or we are not going bowling again for a long time.

With any luck we can turn our game around next year like Colorado has. The growth that they've displayed in just one season is really incredible.
There was a quote from Ron Zook earlier this year that sums up my hopes for Iowa State football over the next couple seasons: "The first year after a coaching change, you lose big. The second year, you lose close. The third year, you start winning."
Also, Brian, every time I see your avatar I crack up. The Lazytown soundtrack is my guiltiest of guilty pleasures, even moreso than owning both Aqua albums.

It's the Big 12! If ya can't handle it, go play intramurals, brother...
Sorry, had a Hawkins moment.
But, it is in fact the Big 12. Sad to see ALL the North teams getting better (well, the Huskers are not improving, but still beat us), flying past us. Hopefully '08 will be a different story.

I will gladly welcome a win over a top 35 team. The schedule seems harder when you look at the rankings instead of just thinking about playing Big 12 North teams. Good luck to us.
